Developing an iPhone app for your business can generate tremendous results. Staying on top of changing trends goes hand in hand with understanding your customers’ needs. Growing technology presents more opportunities, which usually changes every day living; businesses really need to focus on this and adapt.
EBay is one company that has noticed the large opportunity and decided to capitalize. Since its launch, eBay’s iPhone application has generated $400 million in business.
The company has noticed that consumers are bidding via mobile, browsing products and eBay’s mobile sales volume is growing in the double digits every month.
Although a $350,000 Lamborghini mobile purchase isn’t an every day occurrence, this may be a clue that consumers are becoming more and more comfortable with the notion of shopping from their mobile devices.
“You have to adapt to compete and that is what we have done, we adapted to the fact that consumers are embracing new technologies and we took advantage of that.”- eBay President/CEO John Donahoe
