New stats available on androlib.com show that the total number of apps available in the Android Market has doubled to just over 20,000 in only 5 months.
Google doesn’t disclose Android Market figures, but the data compiled by androlib.com shows a steady rise in the total number of available each month, and an increase in the number of apps published per day.
And while the iTunes App Store offers over 100,000 apps, the Android Market’s quick exponential increase is being hailed as an achievement. Momentum is likely to continue to build thanks to recent articles announcing the upcoming release of several new Android phones including Nexus One.
